Originally launched as an online marketplace, Bullhorn was used by creative types such as designers, artists, and copywriters to search for contract work. After speaking with a friend, Founder and CEO Art Papas discovered that the system closely mapped to a staffing agency’s typical relationship management workflow, so he began pitching it to recruiters. Shortly thereafter, Papas, coding the software himself, interviewed recruiters and built in the CRM functionality that they wanted. Ever since, Bullhorn’s leadership team has been focused on delivering dynamic and secure solutions for the staffing industry built in collaboration with agile development and user-centered design.
With an entrepreneurial approach and great passion for the customers we serve, Bullhorn has been leading the staffing software industry for over a decade with a variety of product offerings. Bullhorn donates almost $1 million per year in cash donations and employee volunteer time to a variety of organizations, including the Germantown Neighborhood Center, The Italian Home for Children, DSS, Raise a Reader, and Youth Village’s Holiday Hero program.
As a company, we volunteer at more than 15 events per year and work with organizations including Rosie’s Place, Rebuilding Together Boston, and Youth Villages. Bullhorn Cares partners with Career Collaborative, a not-for-profit organization that helps low-income adults find and keep jobs with career potential. Since the beginning of our partnership, in 2011, Bullhorn has worked with Career Collaborative to help 74 individuals secure new careers in the Boston area. Bullhorn was recently recognized with a Silver Impact Award from Building Impact for its commitment to volunteerism. CEO Art Papas was also recognized with a 2015 Alumni Impact award from BostInno.
